How delivering AI music to the site works, end to end.

LISTN AI streams music, podcasts and audiobooks that are made with AI. Distributors and labels deliver AI music to us with standard DDEX ERN messages, the same way they deliver to other streaming services. This hub is for the people who set up and run those deliveries. Listeners and creators who upload by hand have the Help center.

How it works

  1. Get an account. We set you up as a distributor and send you an API key (it starts with lbxf_) and, if you want it, an SFTP login. Tell us your DDEX Party ID (DPID) and the AI tool your catalogue is made with.
  2. Check a message in the sandbox. Send one ERN message to POST /validate. It tells you what a real delivery would do with it, and nothing changes on the site. See Sandbox and testing.
  3. Deliver. Upload a batch by SFTP with a BatchComplete file, or through the API. We read it within about five minutes. See Delivering by DDEX.
  4. Follow it. Every message gets a DDEX acknowledgement file next to it, and the API shows each delivery and each release with its status and any notes.
  5. Get paid. Streams are added up each month. Pull your report from GET /sales as JSON or CSV.

What we take

  • ERN 3.8.x, 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3: NewReleaseMessage and PurgeReleaseMessage.
  • Audio as WAV, FLAC, AIFF or MP3; covers as JPG or PNG.
  • Streaming deals: an OnDemandStream use with the SubscriptionModel and/or AdvertisementSupportedModel. Releases stream worldwide.
  • Audio releases only: singles, EPs and albums. No video or ringtones.
  • Music made with AI, with the AI tool named. Every release on LISTN AI shows the tool it was made with.
